CMLIE Business Model
Formerly known as the Music-in-Education National Consortium, the Center for Musical Literacy-in-Education is a non-profit organization centered in New York City and is now is creating new networks of schools dedicated to a new ‘multiple literacies’ approach to excellence in early education in the U.S. and internationally.
The CMLIE is now receiving proposals from individual and collaborating schools to begin training in August and ongoing professional development through the entire 2024-25 school year.
All materials are copyrighted for quality control protection and licensing but are treated as public domain for participating institutions
Local sites take over administration of materials and methods subject only to continuing documentation and assessment reports to CMLIE
CMLIE continuous certification of licenses and administers programs at first but is NOT in the business of franchising buildings and contracting partnering local institutions
Once program quality has been certified, all sites have opportunity to renew certification and program evaluation on an annual basis
